MEET OUR STAFF
Since our founding, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Washington County has developed and grown in a positive direction. We’re very proud of the diversity of our staff, and their abilities to contribute their own unique experience and skills to our success.
Chakina began with CASA as an intern in August 2018. After obtaining her Associate’s Degree in Human Services, she transferred to the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown (USM-H). While there, she studied Social Work through Salisbury University and obtained her BASW in May 2018. Chakina is currently enrolled in the advanced standing MSW program through Salisbury University at USM-H where she will graduate with her Master’s Degree in Social Work in December 2019.
Lauren originally started with CASA as a volunteer in 2017. While she was a volunteer, she had two cases. In July 2019, Lauren transitioned from a volunteer to a full-time staff member. She is currently in the process of obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at USM-H.
Intern Volunteer Coordinator
Cecilia started with CASA in August 2019 as an intern Volunteer Coordinator. She is currently in the process of obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Shepherd University.
